I know you’ve all been waiting with baited breath for the new FlashDen competition - and here it is!

FlashDen has recently updated the Asset Library and are now asking for submissions for those of you who wish to contribute. To make this a bit more fun (and because we just like competitions) we will be holding an Asset Competition!

As you know for some time we’ve been working on a FlashDen sister site - AudioJungle - and though the job has turned out a *tiny* bit bigger than we’d anticipated :-) We’re still well on our way. In preparation for this one of the more fun jobs I’ve gotten to do is to give our Eden brand a makeover.

Yesterday we launched our new Eden - http://eden.cc website and logo. It’s a friendlier looking brand and a bit simpler than the old version and should serve us well. In any case you’ll be seeing that logo appear a little more on FlashDen very soon!

As authors will know, here at FlashDen we have been going through a period of tightening our copyright policy. For the last month we have held a copyright amnesty - a time when all authors could make their files copyright compliant.

In that time we have begun upgrading the Asset Library too, and now have over 100 new photographs with more coming soon. However, we’ve decided to make it better, so that no author has a reason not to be copyright compliant with their assets.

We have decided to extend the copyright amnesty until April 15 2008. That means that you have until then to update your files if you need to.

After more than a year, the FlashDen blog is back, and here to stay!

For those of you who were around with FlashDen in its early days, we used to have a blog called “Down the Foxhole” where I posted news and articles. Around early 2007 we had some plans to move it to another domain, and it got “temporarily” shelved. After many months it’s finally been revived here at blog.flashden!

So what can you expect here at the blog? Well competitions will be moving here, extras like the Showroom, site announcements - which up until now have been getting lost on the forums, and general articles and posts about Flash. Most importantly the blog will be another avenue for communication and discussion - something we all love at FlashDen!

I’m still putting the final touches on the blog, and then we’ll begin importing the latest stories to the homepage and put announcements up on the forums to let everyone know!
